We had the open public tea gathering at Shofuso (Japanese House & Garden in Philadelphia)
In a traditional tea house (枡床席）, thick tea was served.
In Shoin (書院0 overlooking a beautiful traditional Japanese garden, Thin tea was served.

For 4 years, we had a lot of fun through TEA.
I appreciate we could share some precious time of life together.

We enjoyed the Tennenki event(memorial day of Joshinsai) on 9/13:
offering tea, hanayose with flowers from garden, thick tea & thin tea.

One of my students prepared oboro manju (朧饅頭）for Rikyuki.
After serving tea, we practiced “chakabuki”.
